Martine Aublet Grant
Reserved for research in the humanities and social sciences, the Martine Aublet Foundation awards highly competitive doctoral fellowships in the amount of 15,000€ to cover field research over a period of twelve months. Dissertation subjects, distinguished by both their pertinence and scientific rigor, must justify work in a non-European country in one of the following disciplines: anthropology, ethnomusicology, ethnolinguistics, history, art history, archaeology, sociology, and political science. The selection process is headed by the Department of Research and Education at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac. An international open call is announced every year in May. Project Call: Mondes en action, mondes en réflexion
This call for projects, developed in partnership between the FMSH and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, aims to support partner teams carrying out reflective projects on societal issues in all their forms of expression. It encourages collaborative research initiatives that propose innovative forms of dissemination in order to contribute to public debate and inform decision-making. UXIL
UXIL is an innovative program carried out by Campus Condorcet and its member institutions, which seeks to support the professional placement of researchers and artists in exile. Faced with wars, social persecution, censorship, and other threats that oblige scholars and artists to leave their countries, UXIL offers an environment of both solidarity and stimulation that allows them to continue their career, share their knowledge, and fully integrate within the French research landscape. Scholars at Risk Network
Scholars at Risk is an international network of institutions and individuals whose mission it is to protect scholars and promote academic freedom. By arranging temporary academic positions at member universities and colleges, Scholars at Risk offers safety to scholars facing grave threats, so that scholars’ ideas are not lost and they can keep working until conditions improve and they are able to return to their home countries. Scholars at Risk also provides advisory services for scholars and host institutions; campaigns for scholars who are imprisoned or silenced in their home countries; monitors attacks on higher education communities worldwide; and provides leadership in deploying new tools and strategies for promoting academic…

THEMIS – FMSH program
The FMSH supports scholarly communities in countries impacted by various obstacles that stand in the way of academic freedom. The THEMIS mobility program is dedicated to researchers for whom access to their region of study is impeded.
