Research training

The RePaZ research unit is inscribed within a dynamic of support, both scientific and professional, for a public comprising students, researchers, and actors in the cultural heritage space.

Training Options:

The unit offers research training in various formats:

• Doctoral study days (Wijad Académie, summer school)
• Workshops (« Cartographier les contextes juridiques et institutionnels des archives en histoire de l’art et archéologie. Proche-Orient, mondes iraniens, Caucase »)
• Scientific events (the colloquium “Archives photographiques françaises du Moyen-Orient et recherche en contexte contraint,” Assises de l’histoire de l’art et archéologie des mondes de l’islam 2027)
• Research support

Archives in archaeology and art history:

RePaZ focuses its activities on archives—a central challenge, since they constitute the main material for research in art history and archaeology. Even so, many questions remain unresolved, notably the legal status of these collections.

In order to respond to these practical needs, RePaZ organizes a workshop bringing together researchers in archaeology and art history with jurists, in order to create a common working space and to facilitate a response to legal questions raised through work with these archives.
