Fondation Marc de Montalembert
Through its Prize and scholarship grants, the Marc de Montalembert Foundation seeks to promote a better understanding of the arts and cultures of the Mediterranean world, particularly among the young people of the region.
In order to promote this goal, the Foundation established the Prix Marc de Montalembert in 2010. Initially established in concert with the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA), the Prize has been awarded since 2021 in partnership with the École du Louvre. The Prix is awarded every year to an art historian of the Mediterranean region. The purpose of the prize is to make possible – with the help of the École du Louvre – the realization of a research project representing an original contribution to the knowledge of the arts and humanities of the Mediterranean.
